Dear music lovers, friends and even those who merely pass us by,

Today we have an announcement to make – a little long to wait, but finally, this is something we can share with you! What was 3 years of creative torture, seeking for the concept and for the relief in writing finally found its release within the personal turmoil, which – as always happens with me – became a conduit of putting the puzzle of self-penned creations together into a concept, and so here we are!

Today I am proud to announce that Transport Aerian’s new concept album called Intervention is written, recorded, baked fresh out of the oven, as they say, – and will be released by our long-lasting partner Melodic Revolution Records (USA) on November the 18th of 2026 and the promotion will be handled by our dear friends of Hard Life Promotions (NL)

The Intervention as concept refers to the life-changing incident in one’s destiny, which, when it comes can shift, radically alter the course of things – sometimes for the good, perhaps for the bad, but always – to push the one’s life forward, away from the dead end, one step back from the abyss.
Reflecting on the twist of fate in my own private life which happened this year – and yes, the romance and pain are present in a more than fair share – I found what story I want to merge into music this time.

Unlike grand-themed Skywound, this one is close and personal. Still, the Interventions can and do occur in everyone’s life at least once, I’m certain about this.
And we are here to tell you how it feels to be dragged out of the swamp by the hand of fate.

Musically, the new album is quite different from all the previous works by Transport Aerian; yet, it could be a spiritual successor of both Therianthrope – in terms of its themes and signature darkness that we’ve always found ourselves at home with, – and of Skywound – in terms of being a product of a live band coming together with an album, rather than me alone tinkering on composition pieces with a group of guests.
The album was recorded by myself, Stefan Boeykens (guitars), Mauro Belmans (drums), Umut Eldem (piano), and a very special guest who will be the key figure in the coming live programme dedicated to the new album – violinist and dancer Yasmien Pieters.

About Yasmien and her iconic dance and violin performances we’ll talk in due time in the coming blogs, revealing more of our collaboration for Intervention programme – but we are already inpatient to present you the album itself – our latest piece of creation which we a proud to give you close to Christmas – in November.
